LASIK : PROCEDURE AND COMPLICATIONS

LASIK, or laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis is the refraction of the eye surgery to treat or correct myopia, Hipermetropi or glare (astigmatism) using a laser beam. LASIK is a new and increasingly popular alternative to replace the use of glasses and contact lenses for correcting vision LASIK permanently. No longer need to depend on glasses or contact lenses and vision recovered to bring changes to the appearance.

Procedure LASIK eye surgery

Complication LASIK eye surgery

LASIK eye surgery complications is significantly reduced since it was first introduced. LASIK EYE SURGERY USING OTHER RESOURCES

1. Bladeless LASIK - The cornea is cut using a laser beam to form the petals of the cornea. Reduces corneal cut too deep.

2. photoreftractive keratectomy or PRK - laser beam was delivered directly to the cornea without the need to form the petals of the cornea. Fewer complications than LASIK eye but disappeared outer layer (epithelial layer) that causes the eyes slowly recovering.

3. LASEK or laser epithelial keratomileusis - a variation on PRK where the cutter is used to cut the epithelial layer to protect the layer. Epithelial layer is closed again after the laser beam. The recovery is slower than LASIK.

4. Epi-LASEK - variations to LASIK in which the epithelial lining is cut using a rotary cutter plastic.

The conclusion, each operation must have its risks. But the risks of LASIK eye surgery is very low and the complications that may occur can be corrected again
